MOHEGAN SUNDOWN

Mohegan Sundown was made in early fall on Block Island off the coast of Rhode Island.  Having planned a sunset shot near Sandy Point at the northern end of the island, I changed course as a dramatic quality of sky and light to the south was emerging and impossible to ignore.  I quickly made my way southward and down to the foot of Mohegan Bluffs where I placed my tripod in shallow water with just enough time to make this photograph before the glow faded away.
