Monhegan is a beautiful little island. A world all it’s own. 3.75 miles long and 1.75 miles wide and about ten miles out to sea, it is home to the highest ocean cliffs on the Maine coast.
I recently took the little ferry to Monhegan and spent six days exploring the cliff and interior trails with camera and tripod. It is a “walking island”.
I focused my camera mostly on the sea, the rugged and the sublime… the island's steep cliffs, the weather-beaten bluffs and innumerable, water-kissed rocks.
I will return as soon as I can.
I will let you know.
